My years of experience as a regulator at the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) have taught me to quickly identify the needs of an organization, as well as the requirements their processes have to meet in order to be compliant.

In complex situations, I immediately map out the required changes. I advise organizations about the implementation of processes as well as the roles that are subject to change. I think it is important to make sure the entire organization is aware of the relevant laws and regulations. I adapt quickly, identify areas of improvement and communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to create support for the upcoming changes. I function as a sounding board for directors and board members and advise them within the framework of applicable law, to make sure my clients are future proof and in full control of their risks.
